Sydney Anshel, M.S. CF-SLP

Clinical Fellow Speech-Language Pathologist

Sydney Anshel received her B.A. in Communication Sciences and Disorders from West Chester University of Pennsylvania in 2018 and completed her M.S. in speech-language pathology at Loyola University Maryland in 2021. She is a member of Sigma Alpha Nu, the Jesuit honor society and holds a current certification in Lee Silverman Voice Treatment (LSVT).


Through her internships, Sydney worked at the Belvedere location of the Loyola Clinical Centers and at the Park School of Baltimore, where she provided individual treatment to and assessed pediatric and adult clients with a variety of communication needs, including articulation disorders, tongue thrust, mixed expressive-receptive language disorders, aphasia, and cognitive communication disorders.


Sydney also was part of a multi-disciplinary diagnostic team of professionals and students from speech-language pathology, audiology, and psychology who assessed individuals for Auditory Processing Disorder. She helped to facilitate an ABI (acquired brain injury) treatment group with other student clinicians, with a focus on evidence-based cognitive rehabilitation targeting memory, attention, and executive functioning. 


She completed a senior externship at Frederick SLP, where she provided treatment for articulation, phonology, expressive and receptive language disorders, apraxia, dysarthria, cognitive communication deficit secondary to traumatic brain injury, aphasia, dysphagia, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Down Syndrome, and dysphonia. Her other externship was at the Hearing and Speech Agency (HASA), where she treated individuals with Down Syndrome, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Lennox-Gestaut Syndrome, and various chromosomal disorders
