Laura Michie, M.Ed. M.A., CCC-SLP

Laura earned her M.Ed. in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Virginia. She earned her B.S. from Longwood College where she majored in Speech-Language Pathology and Minored in Psychology. In 2006, Laura earned an M.A. from John’s Hopkins University in writing. As a graduate student, I completed my externship at the Veteran’s Hospital in Richmond, Virginia. My Clinical Fellowship Year was completed at the Northern Virginia Easter Seal’s Foundation.

I have 28 years of experience including hospital, public school, home care, private practice, and long-term care settings. I worked as a senior speech language pathologist at the Kennedy Krieger Institute and worked for Johns Hopkins Pediatrics at Home. I have worked as a program director for the rehabilitation department in long-term care.

Recently, I was employed at Copper Ridge in Sykesville, Maryland where I worked with dementia, Alzheimer’s, and memory impaired residents. I participated in education programs provided by The Copper Ridge Institute which is affiliated with the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.

Rebekah E. Hamley, CCC-SLP

Rebekah graduated with an M.S. in Speech-Language Pathology from Appalachian State University in May of 2015. She received an M.A.T. in Secondary English Education from Muskingum University in 2007 and a B.A. from the College of Notre Dame of Maryland in 2006 in English, with a minor in Drama. As a clinical graduate student in speech-language pathology, Rebekah completed placements at Watauga Medical Center and in the Preschool Learning Classroom at Appalachian State University. Rebekah completed her clinical internship in speech-language pathology with Laura in May 2015. She is very excited to be completing her Clinical Fellowship Year with Laura. Rebekah is certified in the Lee Silverman Voice Therapy program (LSVT) in order to better treat individuals with Parkinson’s disease. Rebekah has a special interest in working with individuals who have suffered a stroke or head injury. Rebekah is passionate about helping children and adults to communicate.


Carrie Bollino, Office Manager

Carrie is our practice manager for the office. She will professionally handle your calls and appointments. Carrie will take your information for your first appointment and she will help you navigate through the insurance maze. Carrie is very kind, generous, and exceptionally helpful. We thank Carrie for helping to design and decorate our beautiful office space. She chose the colors for the office space and she also painted it!
