Morgan attended West Virginia University where she received her Bachelors of Science in 2017 and M.A. in 2019 majoring in Speech Pathology. She most recently worked in West Virginia at WVU’s Ruby Memorial Hospital where she worked with pediatric and geriatric patients involving swallowing, voice, language and cognition. She also has hospital experience working in the NICU and PICU, at WVU’s Center for Excellence in Disabilities, Morgan gained experience working on an interdisciplinary team treating children who have difficulty feeding and swallowing
Alongside the nursing staff at Bridgeport Health Care Center Morgan has worked with adult patients with dysarthria, dysphagia, and apraxia. She has gained experience in two public school systems in West Virginia working with students ages 3-14 who have difficulties with articulation, fluency, language and incorporating Augmentative Alternative Communication (AAC) and she also designed various behavioral management strategies when necessary.
Morgan treated clients at WVU Speech and Hearing Clinic struggling with articulation, language, pragmatics and cognition. She also treated adults with intellectual disabilities involving cognition, articulation and social situations at PACE Enterprises,
Morgan is joining Frederick SLP with a great amount of experience working with patients with disabilities, health conditions and cases of many different kinds. She has joined us to complete her Clinical Fellowship with Laura and is excited to start working with our patients.
